Teachers’ Day Celebration 2026

Celebrating the Guiding Lights of Mount St. Mary’s School

Mount St. Mary’s School celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5 September 2026 with great enthusiasm and gratitude, honouring the educators whose dedication, wisdom and compassion continue to shape the lives of generations of students.

The celebrations commenced with a special Class Teachers’ Period, where students expressed their appreciation through heartfelt gestures and celebrations. This was followed by a vibrant special assembly in the school auditorium, bringing together students and teachers in a memorable celebration of the teaching fraternity.

The programme began with a welcome address and prayer, followed by a tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose vision and contribution to education continue to inspire the nation. The occasion also celebrated the remarkable milestone of 25 years of dedicated service of Mr. Saljo Babu and Mr. Mukesh Tiwari. A nostalgic video presentation by the Pixels Club, Down the Memory Lane, captured cherished moments from their journey at Mount St. Mary’s School. Their contributions were further acknowledged through heartfelt speeches by students and colleagues, followed by the presentation of planters and cards by the students. The Community Leader, Rev. Bro. Felix Mathew presented silver plates as mementos to both the gentlemen to appreciate and celebrate the 25 years of their dedicated service to the school.

The celebrations then transformed into a vibrant showcase of talent and camaraderie. Batch of 2027 hosted the assembly and the programme. Classes IV and V presented a delightful Nukad Natak while the tiny tots of Pre- primary sections expressed their love through a video. The live performance by Vaibhav Pandey and Abhyuday Dhawan left the audience mesmerised with their mimicry of Bollywood actors. The performance by middle school students, a medley by Class XII and a spirited dance added to the festive atmosphere.

The Grand Finale, featuring the Principal, Community Leader and Coordinators, brought together the school leadership and teaching fraternity in a celebration of unity and togetherness. A special Teachers’ Day video offered a heartfelt tribute to the teachers and their invaluable contribution to the Marian family. All the teachers were presented with a customised gift box.

Mr. Geo Mathew, Ms. Nicy Sojan, Ms. Aanchal Siwach and Ms. Joyce Geo were felicitated and applauded by the Principal for not taking a single day leave in the whole year. The celebration culminated with an inspiring Address by the Principal, Rev. Bro. O. J. Joseph, followed by the gratitude speech by Sports Captain Rijul Rajiv. The formal celebration concluded with the cake cutting and school song.

Teachers’ Day at Mount St. Mary’s was not merely a celebration – it was a heartfelt expression of gratitude for the countless lessons taught within and beyond the classroom. It was a reminder that every teacher leaves an indelible imprint on the lives they touch, inspiring students to learn, grow and become the best versions of themselves.
