EACH MORNING MARIANS ASSEMBLE IN THE DESIGNATED ASSEMBLY AREAS , STARTING THE DAY ON A POSITIVE NOTE. THE ASSEMBLIES HELP IN MOTIVATING STUDENTS AND REITERATING BASIC VALUES TO BE INCULCATED FOR THE BETTERMENT OF OUR ENVIRONMENT AND SOCIETY

Barely a week after being declared the most populated country in the world, India celebrates it’s 74th Republic Day. With recent developments like being chosen to hold the G20 summit, it is clear that the country is emerging as a leading power in the world. But what led to this change in India’s standing, from being a British colony less than a century ago to being the fastest growing economy in the world?? The perpetrator was a robust constitution which looked after the development of all sections of society.

On 25th January, both the junior and senior school collaborated to celebrate the Republic Day with much cheer and pomp. The event started with a reading of our Preamble, followed by dances, mimes and music, all of which contributed to lighting a spirit of patriotism in our hearts. To celebrate the vast diversity of our country, we were made aware about various prevailing cultures, with emphasis on Sikkim. An address by the principal brought an end to the ceremony.

On 13th May,2022 our new principal Rev.Brother. Tomy Varghese was warmly welcomed by the Junior School Students. The new principal was escorted by the Junior School Council and the Junior School Coordinator Ms. AanchalSiwach.The students presented a mesmerising dance performance along with melodious songs. The Assembly concluded by a promise the Junior School made to Rev.Brother.Tomy Varghese to use only the campus language and to abide by the rules and regulations of the School.

15th August 2019 marked the 73rdIndependence Day of India, and Mount St. Mary’s School organized a special assembly to commemorate this auspicious day. The programme consisted of an extravaganza of music, dance and theatrics. The programme began with a speech as a tribute to the great Leader of the Independence struggle,NetajiSubhash Chandra Bose. The students of classes IV and V then presented a lively dance performance on the theme of “Unity in Diversity”. A skit highlighting the value of religious unity was presented by the students of class VII. Another stimulating dance performance followed, on the theme “Freedom to You, Me and All”. The students of class VII recited an inspiring poem “Mein DeshNahiJhukneDoonga”. The programme culminated with a stimulating speech by the Principal, Rev. Bro.Dr. Arockiaraj, who apprised the students about the importance of freedom and also urged them to perform their duties wholeheartedly,as they are the youth of the country and hence its future.

Plastic in any form or of any quality is harmful to health. In a perfect world you would want to avoid exposure to all forms of plastic. We , at MSM constantly ensure that children are aware about the little ways with which we can reduce our exposure to plastic and make our surroundings more sustainable.

In Indian culture, Guru is a person or a mentor who drives out all fear and ignorance from a person. In the words of Ramakrishna Paramhansa, “He alone is the genuine teacher who is illumined by the light of true knowledge. Our Principal Rev. Bro. Dr. Arockiaraj blessed all the students during the morning assembly conducted on this occasion.
