TEACHER’S DAY

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” -Albert Einstein Teachers play a very important and great role in our lives. 5th September, every year is an important day for both the teachers and the students as we wish our beloved teachers and thank them for their selfless service of teaching and shaping the lives of students. The Teacher’s Day programme was organized by the students of class XII to thank their teachers for guiding them throughout their school life. The show began with an introduction about Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and a poem by Dhriti Lakhanpal, dedicated to all the lovely teachers. This was followed by a melodious performance by the amazing singers on a medley of songs. The programme reached its pinnacle with the exuberant and energetic dance performance by the talented dancers. A video was also shown as a tribute to the teachers. It showcased the bond that they share with their students. An interactive session with the teachers hosted by the amazing emcees Alanna Geo, Rijul Chadha and Joel .K. Reji was followed by a truth/dare round, which involved active participation by the teachers. The highlight of the programme was the surprise event “The Ramp Walk” for which the teachers were escorted by Class 12 students for an amazing walk down the ramp. On this day, we also felicitated our Senior School Coordinator, Mr. Geo Mathew on completing 25 years of his service in the school. The show came to a crescendo with the cake cutting ceremony held in the staff room. A JAM session by class XII students marked the end of the celebrations. The show was indeed a great success and the efforts put in by all paid off. It was a memorable day for all the teachers and a day to be remembered by the class of 2020.
