Celebrating the essence and spirit of leadership, honour and pride the students of Senior School, of Mount St Mary’s School were conferred with their rank and badges as they were instated as the Student Council, in a solemn ceremony on 6th May, 2024.
The proud white badge holders : Head Boy, Shaurya Malik, Head Girl, Avneet Kaur, Sports Captain, Daniel Andrews Johnson and the Cultural Captain, Dhriti Yadav swore to honour their badges and serve the school with unwavering commitment and integrity.
The captains, vice-captains and prefects of the 4 houses, proudly took oath, pledging allegiance to their flag, house and School.
A mime and dance performance highlighting the relevance of this year’s School theme; Holistic Development : Mind, Body and Soul drew home the significance of maintaining a healthy mind, body and soul at a time when being a teenager is extremely challenging and confusing. It concentrated on the ill effects of substance abuse and how a true leader not only steers clear of the same, but also keeps his peers along the right path.
GOC, Delhi Cantt, Lt Gen Bhavnish Kumar, VSM was the esteemed Chief Guest for the occasion. In his speech, he congratulated the council for their luminous achievement and emphasised on the actualisation of self and the theme of the year. He expressed gratitude and appreciation for the unsung heroes of the Indian Society ; mothers and teachers. He urged the students to not forget the sacrifices of the generations before them and work on the foundation laid by them to take the nation forward.
