Republic Day Celebrations 2024-25

Celebrating 76 Years of Indian Democracy: MSM’s Republic Day Extravaganza

Mount St. Mary’s School celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day with a grand ceremony that embodied the spirit of patriotism, unity, and diversity. The programme was a vibrant showcase of our students’ talents, creativity, and dedication to the nation.

The ceremony commenced with a soulful prayer for the nation, seeking divine blessings and guidance. This was followed by a reading and dramatisation of the Preamble to the Indian Constitution, highlighting the fundamental values and principles of our democracy.

Our talented students then took to the stage, filling the air with fervor and enthusiasm through patriotic songs and a captivating dance performance that showcased the rich cultural heritage of India.

A thought-provoking skit, “The Journey of 75 years as a Republic”, took the audience on a nostalgic trip through the milestones of India’s republic, highlighting key achievements and challenges. This was complemented by a beautifully designed PPT that provided a visual journey through India’s 75 years as a republic.

Other highlights of the programme included a spectacular Fit India Yoga Pyramid display, showcasing the strength, flexibility, and teamwork of our students; a poignant poem recitation by Nikita of class 11A, highlighting the life of an Indian soldier; and a musical presentation by our junior school students, celebrating the diverse languages spoken in India and showcasing the beauty of unity in diversity.

The programme culminated with an inspiring speech by our principal, Rev Brother Tomy Varghese. He reminded us that “Freedom comes with responsibility” and urged us to use our liberties wisely. He emphasized the importance of love, safeguarding our democratic values, promoting unity, and striving for excellence in all endeavors.

The celebrations were made even more special by the beautiful decorations that adorned the auditorium and foyer, adding a touch of grandeur to the occasion.

We are proud to have celebrated this significant milestone in India’s history, and we look forward to continuing to instill the values of patriotism, unity, and responsibility in our students.
