Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it, it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it. Since 1949, 7th December is observed as the Armed Forces Flag Day throughout the country to honour the martyrs, the men as well as women in uniform who valiantly continue to fight to safeguard the country’s honour and their families. A Special Morning Assembly was organised at Mount St. Mary’s Delhi Cantt. to celebrate this auspicious day with an aim to instill the patriotic spirit among Marians. The assembly was initiated with a prayer for our brave hearts. It was followed by a one act play highlighting the sacrifices made by their families. The students presented a spellbound tribute to the tricolour. The assembly was concluded with the salute to our National Flag.
‘Dear soldiers we care for you’; ‘Dear soldiers we are there for you’ with these thoughts MSM joined the campaign to raise the funds for our soldiers and their families. Rev. Bro. Tomy Varghese, the Principal and the Coordinators initiated the campaign in the assembly.
