First Assembly
Every session marks a new beginning. Therefore, the first day on 1st April, 2023, when the students, all feeling rejuvenated, enthusiastic and excited, come to school in their brand new, crisp uniforms, it becomes a very special day. The school corridors once again reverberated with the sounds of numerous feet rushing towards the classrooms to begin another new school session. The young eager faces of the children reflected positivity and hope for new beginnings, extended opportunities and prospective growth.
“In a student’s life, a new beginning is all about moving to a new class, making new friends, meeting new teachers, getting new books and exploring new paths of learning. Life is not about expecting, hoping and wishing, it’s about doing, being and becoming.”
Marians from classes 1st to 10th and 12th were welcomed back to the Diamond Jubilee Year of Mount St Mary’s. The Diamond Jubilee Emblem, designed by Avneet Kaur, was unfurled by our Principal, Rev Bro Tomy Varghese, our Senior School Coordinator, Mr Geo Matthew, our Middle School Coordinator, Ms Monica Jain and our Junior School Coordinator, Ms Anchal Siwach. The Principal then addressed the students about the importance of new beginnings, new endeavors and new resolutions, lighting up the assembly with his wise and uplifting words of advice to the students. The motto for this commemorative year was announced– “Reflect, Renew, Radiate!” The motto reminds us to reflect on our glorious past, renew our ever lasting traditions and enthusiasm, and radiate this positive energy and attitude throughout the year to help our school reach greater heights.
On this special day, our Principal, Rev Bro Tomy Varghese called upon all the teachers and coordinators of Mount St Mary’s to pledge to continue educating the students with love, care and empathy, to find new and innovative ways to teach and to help and guide each of their students with understanding and love. It was a solemn occasion where the teachers, as always, pledged to be the guiding light for their students and carry the mantle of responsibility entrusted upon them.
