A Magical Tribute: Grandparents’ Day Celebration at Mount St. Mary’s
“Thank you, Grandparents, for making our world shine with your love, wisdom, and endless blessings.”
On February 14, 2025, Mount St. Mary’s School, Delhi Cantt, hosted a heartwarming celebration of love, gratitude, and family bonds with its Grandparents’ Day event for Class Prep. The occasion was a touching tribute to the guiding figures in our lives—our grandparents—who shape us with their wisdom, nurture us with their love, and connect us to our roots.
The highlight of the event was the enchanting theatrical performance, Aladdin & the Genie – Believe in the Magic Within. Our young Marians transported the audience into a world of wonder, leaving an indelible impression with their impeccable acting, infectious enthusiasm, and vibrant storytelling. The play was more than just entertainment—it was a heartfelt message about self-belief, resilience, and the magic that lies within each child.
Tears of pride and joy sparkled in the eyes of grandparents and parents as they watched their little ones shine on stage. The performances evoked cherished memories of their own childhoods, strengthening the intergenerational bonds that make family life so special.
At Mount St. Mary’s, education is not just about academics; it is about nurturing character, instilling gratitude, and fostering respect for the relationships that shape us. This event was a celebration of those values, reinforcing the importance of acknowledging and cherishing the role grandparents play in our lives.
Adding to the day’s significance was the felicitation of our dedicated volunteer parents, whose commitment to the school’s vision truly embodies the spirit of the MSM family. Their appreciation for the inclusive environment at MSM—where parents actively participate in their children’s journey—spoke volumes about the institution’s rich legacy.
The event was further graced by the presence of our esteemed Principal, Rev. Bro Tomy Varghese, whose inspiring words encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence. We were also honoured by the presence of Community Leader Rev. Bro Rajesh, Coordinators Mr. Geo Mathew, Ms. Monica Jain, and Ms. Aanchal Siwach, who made the occasion even more special.
The celebration was a resounding success, reminding everyone of the power of love, gratitude, and family. As our little Marians embark on their journeys, may they always hold close the invaluable lessons learned from their grandparents and carry forward the spirit of respect and appreciation.
