On 11th May, the school organized a career counselling session inviting experienced counsellors from Career Launcher Educate. The objective of the career counselling session was to provide students of classes 11 and 12 with comprehensive information and guidance on various entrance exams conducted in India for admission to professional courses and higher educational institutions.
The session focused on the newly introduced national-level entrance exam by the Government, CUET (Common University Entrance Test). The counsellor, Mr. Abhishek Pandey guided the students on how to choose courses for undergraduation, and how to align your career aspirations with your interests. The students were enlightened on the options and the various career pathways that are available to them. Also discussed, were the exam structure, including the number of sections, question formats, marking schemes of not only CUET, but various other entrance exams like NLU, CAT, UGEE etc. The counsellor also had an interactive session with the students where he discussed the type of logical and analytical questions asked in such exams. He finally ended the session providing the students with the Golden Rules for effective preparation strategies for entrance exams, highlighting the importance of time management and regular practice and the utilization of mock test The career counselling session proved to be highly informative and valuable for the students. It equipped them with the necessary knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about the entrance exams they wish to appear for, based on their career aspirations. The session also helped alleviate students’ apprehensions and provided them with a roadmap for effective exam preparation.
