The 6th Bro. E.T. Dunne Interschool English Debate was held on the 29th of January 2020. The topic was “Values Are More Important Than Money For Survival”. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. A. J. Philip, acclaimed journalist and philanthropist. There was an enthusiastic response not only from the best schools in Delhi but from outside Delhi as well. The St Mary’s Academy team came all the way from Meerut and their efforts reaped a rich harvest as they returned victorious with the Best Speaker Trophy as well as the Trophy for the Best Team. As this was a debate for students of Classes 7 & 8, it was heartening to see their confidence and the level of excellence at such a young age, especially as most of them were coming onstage for the first time at an Interschool event. This is the purpose of the Bro. Dunne Debate and it was amply fulfilled.
