The 54thAnnual Sports Meet 2022-23
Mount St. Mary’s School, Delhi Cantt. hosted the 54th Annual Sports Meet on 3rd December 2022 for the classes II to XII. The sports meet commenced with the unfurling of the School Sports Flag by the Chief Guest Rev. Bro. Ernest Leslie Gaudoin, accompanied by Principal Rev.Bro. Tomy Varghese and escorted by Mr K.P. Singh, the Head of the Sports Department. Adab Lakhanpal, the Head Boy of the school presented the welcome address and formally welcomed the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honour, Rev. Bro. Dr. ArockiaRaj, former Principal of the school and Bro. Ramesh by presenting the planters. The Ceremonial Torch was lit and was carried by the Head Girl Anahita Dobhal, Head Boy AdabLakhanpal, Cultural Captain Bhavya Narayan and was taken over by the most promising athletes of 2022. Finally it was handed over to the Sports Captain Advita Sharma to lit the urn. All the athletes took the Athletes Oath administered by the Sports Captain. The 54th Sports Meet was then declared open by the Chief Guest. This was followed by the athletic events, March Past by the five Houses in which students exhibited discipline and diligence. In the Closing Ceremony the School Sports Flag was lowered by the Sports Captain Advita Sharma and handed over to Mr. K.P.Singh for the Sports Meet next year. The trophy of the Best Disciplined House was awarded to Parkinson House, the Best Overall House as well the Best House in the March Past trophies were bagged by Hughes House. It was indeed a day filled with enthusiasm, healthy competition and learning outside the classroom.
