ANNUAL SCIENCE EXHIBITION 2019

ANNUAL SCIENCE EXHIBITION 2019

Tim Minchin said, “Science is simply the word we use to describe a method of organising our curiosity”. And we Marians were given an opportunity to channelize our scientific curiosity and inquisitiveness on 02 Feb 2019 in the form of the Annual Science Exhibition. The inaugural lamp lighting and digital opening for the Exhibition was done by our Principal Rev. Bro. Saji V.J., Vice Principal Rev. Bro. Arockiaraj and our School Coordinators. A distinguished panel of assistant professors, expert doctors, paediatricians and engineers from the defence forces were invited to judge the event. The sixth graders had made wooden pyramids, electronic quizzes and models on the topics health, nutrition and well being. They cautioned the spectators of the consequences of not having a balanced diet, not exercising and being unfit. The students of Class seven made models on Resource Management. The Class Eight pupils were given a choice of topic viz.‘Universe – A Mystery’ or ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. They displayed models of recycling plastic for construction of roads, photographic satellite, eco air coolers and much more. The Class Nine students came up with intriguing projects on hydroponic farming, sonar cars, blood group determination, seismographs and tuned mass dampers as their topics were Automation and Earth Science Matters. The Class Eleven students had complex working models like a mechanical wheel chair, an automatic fire fighting vehicle, a microcontroller based thermometer and a resonant inductive coupler on the show.
