Senior School Award Ceremony
Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try. The Senior School Award Ceremony was a momentous event held to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of the students for the academic year 2022-23. The ceremony aimed to recognize students’ hard work, dedication, and accomplishments throughout their academic journey and beyond. Parents, teachers, students, and distinguished guests gathered to honor
the recipients of various awards and commendations.
First off, we started with Cultural proficiency awards which highlighted the performance of students in the co-curricular activities. These awards were given by Ms. Aparna Sinha, our Cultural Coordinator. Following these awards, we had the proficiency in sports and best in sports awards which were given by our acting Vice Principal and Community Leader, Bro. Rajesh. The next category of awards was the proficiency in academics which were given away by our Junior school Coordinator Ms. Anchal Siwach. The Subject Toppers of class 10 and 12 were awarded by Ms. Monica Jain, our Middle School Coordinator and Mr. Geo Mathew, our Senior School Coordinator.
The western music choir had us through a captivating musical journey, reminding us the boundless magic that music brings to our lives. The next category of awards, was the 100% attendance awards, given by our principal Rev. Bro. Tomy Varghese. A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. The next category of awards was the Leader of the Class, followed by the All Rounder of the class Awards. Our budding actors staged a powerful play on India’s former President and Scientist- Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. It was indeed a captivating performance that stirred our imagination and emotions, depicting the theme- Reflect, Renew, Radiate. Following this, we had the Instituted Awards which were initiated by Ex-Marians, former teachers and the Parent’s community of MSM. These awards were given by our Chief Guest, Mr. Kamal Kant Pant. The overall toppers of class 12 were the next category with Preet Arjun Bir Singh being the topper in Humanities with 97.2%, Khushi Ranjan in Commerce with 92.6% and Samriddhi Manav in Science with 97.6%. The school also took this opportunity to celebrate unique accomplishments of students outside the academic and sports fields. Students who had won national or international competitions, showcased exceptional talents, or made significant contributions to the arts, literature, or technology were recognized for their exceptional skills. Among the special Achievers for the session of 2022-23 were:
1. Ananya Chouhan who is a passionate swimmer and participated in Glenmark Nationals at Bhuvneshwar and has won three gold medals in CBSE Central Zone Swimming Championship.
2. Another swimmer par excellence in a row is AARAV TIWARI of Class XI who participated in the National Aquatic Meet at Rajkot and was in 10 in the 100m backstroke event. MSM’s toxophilite Abhigyan Singh Negi who excelled in the field of Archery participated in the 39th NTPC Sub Junior National Championship.
3. YASHANK MAHALWAL who swims like a fish is an excellent swimmer who participated in the 66th National School Games Swimming Championship organised by School Games Federation of India.
4. In international participation, Rudrakshi Rathore received the Special Achievement for Crossminton.
5. AVNEET KAUR an ingenious and promethean student who created the Diamond Jubilee LOGO for the school as MSM as an institution has completed 60 years of nurturing young minds.
6. DIPANPREET KAUR a versifier, the youngest moderator in Motivational Strips and the 7th English Sainoist poet in the world has already published her two books as a solo writer. She has been awarded by Gujrat Sahitya Academy, recipient of Souvenir Medal and Sikh Got Talent 2023.
7. True success is when you touch the sky with your feet on the ground, the next succeeder is an inspiration, a true Marian – HIMANSHU BHASKAR an alumnus of our school and also the former Head Boy of batch 2018 – 19. He has soared high and touched the sky with All India Rank 308 in Civil Services Exam this year.
8. SAMRIDDHI MANAV an diligent, focused and resolute student who is the proud recipient of Special Achievement Award, she secured 90 All India Rank by scoring 705 marks out of 720 in the NEET Exam which is indeed tough and challenging.
9. A Golfer – DIKSHA DAGAR, an alumnus of our school who has been nominated for three consecutive years for Arjuna award. She has been ranked 46th in Olympics Qualification Rankings and is at 215 World Rank in Golf.
The Senior School Award Ceremony was a remarkable event that celebrated the hard work, achievements, and successes of the graduating senior students. It was an occasion filled with pride, joy, and emotion as the school community came together to appreciate and encourage the students as they prepared to embark on the next phase of their lives. The ceremony served as a reminder of the importance of dedication, determination, and teamwork in the
pursuit of excellence, and it left a lasting impression on all attendees, inspiring them to aim higher in their own endeavors.
