28th Bro. Mahony Memorial Inter School Football Tournament 2022
Mount St. Mary’s School organized the 28thBro. Mahony Football Tournament 2022 from August 30 to September 3, 2022. The Principal, Rev. Bro. Tomy Varghese, inaugurated the tournament and encouraged all the participants to put their best foot forward. A total of 32 teams participated, 16 each in Senior and Sub- Junior Boys categories.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Youth Affairs Ministry of Youth and Sports, Govt. of India, was the Chief Guest for the Finals of 28th Bro. Mahony Football Tournament. The programme began with the Welcome Ceremony. The Principal welcomed the Chief Guest with a bouquet. A melodious welcome song was presented by the school choir and the much awaited match began. The Final Match in the Senior Category was between the teams of Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj and Mount St. Mary’s School, Delhi Cantt. in the U – 19 category. Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj emerged victorious by 5-4. In the Sub Junior Category, The Shri Ram School, Aravali won the match against Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri by 2-1. The event was concluded with the felicitation ceremony and the motivational speech by the Chief Guest.
