Mount St. Mary’s celebrates its School Day on the 8th of September as the date is observed as the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mount St Mary’s was named after Mother Mary, mother of Jesus Christ, patron saint of ALL humanity and Patroness Saint of our School.
Christians all over the world look to Mary for protection and intercession in times of need as she is considered to be exalted and praised above all angels and men.
This year, Mother Mary was honoured in a solemn assembly conducted by the teachers. To help students appreciate Mother, teachers shared a few facts about her, taught us the importance and virtues, led us in intercessory prayers and sang to honour her.
The assembly was concluded with the Community Leader, Rev. Bro. George who addressed the gathering and reminded everyone of our duty and the role we ought to play in society.
