Independence Day Celebrations 2025

Mount St. Mary’s Celebrates the 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Zeal

Mount St. Mary’s School celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great pride and patriotic fervour. The celebrations began in the morning with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Rev. Bro. Tomy Varghese, followed by the National Anthem and the National Pledge led by the Head Boy.

The school campus resonated with cultural performances, including a vibrant dance display by the NCC cadets and soulful desh-bhakti presentations by the students. Heartfelt speeches by teachers and students highlighted the sacrifices of martyrs and reminded everyone of the responsibility of safeguarding our nation’s hard-earned freedom.

A special highlight of the celebration was the screening of the inspirational movie Kalam Standard 5B. The school had the honour of welcoming and felicitating the film’s lead actor and producer, Mr Tom Jacob.

In his message, the Principal, Rev. Bro. Tomy Varghese, urged the students to live as responsible citizens and carry forward the values of integrity, honesty, and dedication. The day concluded with the message that freedom is not merely a gift of the past but a responsibility for the present and future. As the tricolour fluttered high, every Marian left with a renewed pledge to serve the nation with pride.
